Kaizen, Japanese for Improvement:

Refers to philosophy or practices that focus upon continuous improvement of processes in manufacturing, engineering, game development, and business management. It has been applied in healthcare at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) and Sutter Health. CPMC has what they call a report out nearly every Friday morning. These report outs are conducted by the team that spent that week improving the process of a department or unit at CPMC. Please let me know if you are interested in attending one of these report outs. There are also limited opportunities to volunteer for the whole week event where you may meet and impress influential management at CPMC (hint could lead to a job ;-).
